Volunteer

Each plot is required to complete a minimum of 10 volunteer hours throughout the current growing season. Failure to do so could result in losing your garden plot for the next year(s).
Yes! You and only you are in charge of logging your volunteer hours.
Yes, please! We want to make sure we keep track of how much work goes into maintaining our beautiful garden!

Produce Donation

The Harvest Team will harvest every Tuesday evening from mid-July into October. If you are not on the Harvest Team, but still have produce you would like to donate to our local food shelf please harvest, weigh, log and place in the shed by 5:00pm on Tuesday evenings and let the other gardeners know of your intention. Produce will be delivered to Elliot Park Tuesday evenings for distribution to the community on Wednesday mornings.
Yes! We want to make sure we are recording ALL produce that we donate to the community.

Garden Etiquette

Yes, please! Gates and the shed door should be locked at all times for your safety and the safety of our garden.
Yes! Every time you use a lock, please spin the combinations! This is for your safety and the safety of our garden.
As much as we like each other, not everything in the shed is meant to be shared. Each plot has a numbered/named spot on the shed shelves, that are not intended for communal use. Please reach out to the specific gardener if you would like to borrow something.
No, if you are unable to continue gardening your plot you need to contact the Member Coordinator and/or the entire GCG Board.
Introduce yourself and/or just ask which plot is theirs! We want everyone to feel safe and a part of our GCG community, so the more acquainted we are with each other, the better!
