Community gardening in the heart of downtown Minneapolis
HARVESTING
Harvesting will be done as a group on Tuesday evenings starting @ 5:00pm. Please plan to be there EVERY Tuesday once harvesting begins (usually mid-July – October). If you are going to be late OR not going to make it, please let the team know by the Monday before.
Harvest needs to be weighed/recorded and bagged/boxed for delivery on Tuesday nights. For small tomatoes please use the clam shells for harvesting and delivery. Also for tomatoes or any other vegetable that could get squished please put in a box, instead of plastic bags.
DELIVERY
Harvest needs to be driven to Elliot Park on Tuesday evenings. As the harvest gets larger, we may need to get some additional help here. Elliot Park Rec Center will be open, and produce should be put in the fridge. There is generally someone there to help unload. For first time delivers someone that has done delivery before can go with you.
